Roughstring


Roughstring (Animas, New Mexico) is comprised of Ken Moore, Skelly Boyd, Ginger Evans, and Jess Barry. As individual performers, they have each made their own mark on the scene of cowboy poetry gatherings. It was only a matter of time until they would find themselves on stage together, working on harmonies and arrangements. Each brings a rich heritage to the group, and with the ranching background they have to draw from, the music and poetry produced by this group will have no choice but to be filled with cowboy culture and heritage.

Ken is a working cowboy in the southwest regions of Arizona and New Mexico, and his ranching background and experience is extensive. Skelly comes from several generations of Arizona history, and his memories of ranching and working cowboys in the regions of Arizona are rich and full of life. Ginger has deep roots in Texas and a passion for cowboy and western music. Jess, born and raised in Arizona, works for the Diamond A Ranch in Animas.

Roughstring has long been a favorite at many shows throughout the Western United States. With Original, Contemporary, and Traditional Western and Cowboy Music, they are sure to please any crowd that longs to remember the "good ol' days"!
